- What is this course about?
This course
provides students with the knowledge and skills to implement, manage, maintain and troubleshoot a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure. Students will learn how to administer the following critical network services: Routing and Remote Access, Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and IP Security (IPSec).

Free, licensed copy of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition

Total = 49 hours.
- What is the prerequisite for the course?
- Basic familiarity with fundamental networking concepts

- How much is the training material?
The text book (Nicrosoft Official Academic Course) is approximately RM150. However, there are free materials provided online in the Microsoft Student Online Campus
- Learning outcomes - at the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Configure a DHCP server by defining a scope, creating DHCP client reservations, and configuring DHCP options.
- Manage a DHCP database by performing the following tasks: backing up and restoring, compacting a DHCP database, and reconciling a DHCP database.
- Install and configure the Domain Name System (DNS), DNS primary zones, secondary zones and stub zones.
- Use management tool to manage and monitor the DNS service.
- Describe the network security protocols used for authorization, and implement security baseline settings and audit security settings using security templates.
- Identify and explain the major components and concepts of Internet Protocol Security (IPSec).
- Use tools to manage, monitor and troubleshoot IPSec.
- Configure a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 to act as a local area network (LAN) router.
- Centralize network access authentication and policies using RADIUS and IAS .
- Monitor network traffic, troubleshoot network connectivity and server services.
- Describe how to replicate data from one SQL Server to another.

- Must I sit for the exam?
No, you can sit for the exam anytime you wish. You decide when. Please note that the course fee does not include the exam fee.
- If I don't sit for exam, what cert do I get?
You will get a Certificate of Achievement (CoA).
- Does the course give out any homework or assignment?
No! You will not be asked to do any homework or assignment. All lab exercises are completed within the training hours .
