Microsoft Imagine Cup 2008
The 2008 Microsoft Imagine Cup is now open for registration.
The theme of this coming year's Imagine Cup is "Imagine a world where technology enables a sustainable environment".
FYP students (or any other students with suitable projects) are strongly encouraged to participate if their projects can fit the theme. MMU had been champions for the years 2005 & 2006 at the national level. This year, the world finals will be in Paris, France.

2008 Imagine Cup - Prizes (Malaysia):
- 1st Prize: RM10,000 worth of cash and prizes, and an all expense-paid trip to Paris for the World Finals!
- 2nd Prize: RM5,000 worth of case and prizes
- 3rd Prize: RM2,500 worth of cash and prizes
Important Dates:
- 31 Jan 2008: Proposal Submissions
- 17 - 21 Mar 2008: Semi-finals
- 7 Apr 2008: Finals

General Guidelines
- Teams of up to 4 individuals
- 1 mentor strongly suggested
- Team members may come from different schools and countries
- Theme: Imagine a world where technology enables a sustainable environment
- Presentations and documentation must be in English.
- Language requirements and rules for semi-finals are defined by the regional Microsoft subsidiary you compete within. To find contact information for your subsidiary, check http://www.microsoft.com/worldwide.
- All projects must include at least 2 Required Elements and 2 Optional Elements.
Required Elements
- Implement or consume a XML Web Service
- Design project on .NET Framework 2.0 or later
- Use of Visual Studio family (Express, Standard, or Team System) for development
