Shell Technology Innovation Award

Guidelines and Criteria:

  1. Open to all MMU Engineering and Information Technology students who have completed their final year projects and should graduate in the coming convocation.
  2. The best five final year projects of each faculty (Faculty of Engineering – FOE, Faculty of Engineering and Technology – FET, Faculty of Information Technology – FIT and Faculty of Information Science and Technology – FIST) will be selected and arranged for project presentation and evaluation for the consideration of this award.
  3. The panel of judges shall comprise one representative from Engineering Faculties, one representative from Information Technology Faculties, Director (or representative) from Centre for Commercialisation and Technopreneur Development – CCTD and two representatives from SHELL Information Technology International Sdn. Bhd.
  4. The judging shall be based on the following criteria:
    • Innovative component of project
    • Quality of project
    • Potential for commercialization
    • Impact to society
    • Presentation
  5. The following awards shall be given:
    • Gold award with cash prize of RM 5,000
    • Silver award with cash prize of RM 3,000
    • Bronze award with cash prize of RM 2,000
  6. The winning team members shall be presented with a certificate each and the cash prize shall be shared equally by the team members.
